Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed traditional girl worship with rituals in the Gorakhnath temple building on Thursday, the Navami date of Chaitra Navratri. He first worshiped nine girls symbolizing the nine forms of Maa Bhagwati, by washing the feet of one Batuk Bhairav, then bid farewell to them with Dakshina by feeding them with his own hands. During this, other girls who reached the temple were also fed with the same devotion and bid farewell. On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that worship of mother power is the culture of our country. That is why there is a ritual of worshiping girls on the ninth day of Navratri.



Worshiped nine girls

The time of Kanya Pujan was fixed at 12 noon. The invited girls reached the place of worship before the arrival of the Chief Minister. First of all, he made nine girls and one Batuk Bhairav ​​stand in Thar alternately and washed their feet. After that, after applying tika, covered the chunri and performed the aarti. After the puja, the program of Kanya Bhoj started.


The Chief Minister went to all the girls one by one and served food in their plate with his own hands and fed them after asking questions. During this, he also kept on caressing the children. After the meal, the Chief Minister bid farewell to all the girls with respect by giving them dakshina with his own hand. The children looked happy after worshiping the Chief Minister. Some even reacted. Said, Yogi Baba is very good.


Worship of Maa Siddhidatri

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath worshiped Maa Siddhidatri, the ninth form of Maa Bhagwati, with Vedic chanting on Thursday at Brahma Muhurta at 4 am.


The ritual, which lasted for more than two hours in the Shaktipeeth of the temple, was performed by the head priest Acharya Ramanuja Tripathi and his priestly team. After recitation of Durga Saptshati and Aarti, the puja ended with distribution of Prasad.
